Upper Elementary Lead Teacher
Hannah was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota where her love of the outdoors blossomed. After graduating from Prescott College in Prescott, Arizona, with a degree in Conservation Biology, Hannah spent time working as an outdoor educator working for organizations such as Outward Bound, The Chadwick School and Aspen Center for Environmental Studies. In 2011, Hannah moved to the Wood River Valley for the 1st time. Hannah has lived on and off in the valley since then working in many capacities including special education paraprofessional, climbing gym manager, hiking guide and waitress. In 2016, Hannah was introduced to Montessori Education by Liza Weekes. During that Spring, Hannah observed many times in Elementary classrooms and fell in love with the Montessori Approach. Hannah completed her AMI 6-12 Elementary training at Montessori Northwest in 2017. Hannah also holds a Master’s in Education from University of Edinburgh.
In her free time, Hannah enjoys backcountry skiing, technical climbing, and spending time with her Huksy, Wally. Hannah joined the Pioneer Montessori community in 2018 and is thrilled to be leading the Upper Elementary classroom.
